July 2013

We started July off with a haircut.  It was the most traumatic experience EVER!!  This was Joey's 5th haircut, and we went to a different place.  We didn't like how the other place cut his hair so we had my hairdresser cut it this time.  He's always been okay when he got his haircut.  This time, he wasn't having it.  He was crying, I was crying, Katelyn was crying.  We took our sh*t-show to a whole new level.  Joey cried so much he fell asleep in my lap.  After all that though, doesn't he look so handsome?!?!

Katelyn loves showing off her belly.

On 4th of July we went to some friend's house for a bbq and then to Ed's sister's place for dinner.  Here is our photoshoot for the 4th.

Mom, what are these ridiculous things doing on my feet?

Joe Joe get back here, we are getting our picture taken!

Peace out!

Check out my new head bling mommy made me!

She WAS on that blue pillow.

Love her little laugh!!

 Pretty girl.

Joey not feeling well.  I thought he was getting in his 2 year molars but when his temp was 102.8 I knew something was really wrong.  We went to the doctor and found out he had an ear infection.

After the doctor's visit we went to get Joey's antibiotics.  They told me it would be a 15 minute wait.  This is how Joey killed time.

I had to chase him down to give him his medicine, he ran and hid in his tunnel.  About 10 mins after he got his meds I found him napping in his tunnel.

Both babies decided a late nap was in order.  Katelyn went to bed fine this night, Joey on the other hand, I think he finally passed out around 10pm.

I've been making tutu's for my niece Riley and for Katelyn.  I had Joey try Riley's on so I could get an idea of the length.  This picture makes me laugh because there is a picture floating around of Grandpa Monty in a tutu.

 Here is Riley's tutu finished.

Katelyn has been doing this thing when she eats where she grabs the spoon to put the food in her mouth and then she sticks her fingers in her mouth immediately after.

Check out Katelyn's teeth!

The start of Katelyn's tutu.

Joey loves his mac n cheese!

She's helping me finish her tutu.

Apparently the dishwasher is broken and Joey is just the guy to fix it.

Look at my big girl!!  All by herself and no pillows!

Joey and Katelyn playing on the iPad.

I let Joey feed himself yogurt for the first time.  Yogurt was everywhere!

June 2013

We started June off with a bbq at our house with our neighbors.  They have 2 little boys, Copeland (5) and Harrison (3).  Seeing the energy those 2 boys have make me soooo very happy we had a little girl.  :)  I let Katelyn sport her bathing suit for the first time at our bbq.  I didn't realize when I bought it, that it would be a little snug on her.  She looked like a cute little stuffed Vienna sausage.

We tried sweet potatoes about 4 1/2 months, she wasn't big on eating yet.  She didn't understand how to do it yet so we held off until she was closer to 5 months old.

Love his smile!!

I met one of my friends from my old office for lunch one day.  I took Katelyn with me so she could meet everyone in the office while Joey stayed at home with Grandmom.

Early June we went to Upstate New York to the Finger Lakes area to visit with Ed's Aunt Kathleen (a.k.a. LaLa).  Ed got Dinosaur BBQ for dinner, Joey enjoyed the ribs.

Ed and I got away for a few hours on Friday while LaLa watched the babies.  We wanted to make sure she was okay with both babies and that both babies were okay with LaLa.  We went wine tasting up the street from LaLa's and then to lunch.  It was fun to get away and the babies did so well at LaLa's.

Joey was having a hard time adjusting to a new place and got a little worked up.  He ran right in to LaLa's table and gave himself a black eye.

On Saturday we met up with some of our friends to go wine tasting around Seneca Lake.  It was a fun day for all of us.  LaLa even got both babies to bed at 7pm allowing Ed and I to stay out even later.  :)

Joey passed out on the way home.

We pulled over for a diaper change in the front seat.

Katelyn enjoying a little happy hour with mommy.  Ha!

Joey's eye after we were home for a few days.

Katelyn helped me bake cookies one day.

Another happy hour with mommy.

Walking with Joey is always an adventure.

Father's Day photo shoot.

Hi.

I'm going to suck all your brain power out of your head.

Kisses!!

Joey helped me make daddy rice crispie treats, I let him eat whatever was on the spatula.  Bad idea!!  I rarely let Joey have sugar.  His sugar comes from dried cranberries or fruit, or on occasion I let him have cookies from Trader Joes that are really graham crackers.  After he had marshmallow treats from this spatula, he was bouncing off the walls crazy for a few hours.  It was funny!

Doin' some art.

Katelyn loves to lounge on daddy.

Every other Saturday we have a sitter come over and watch the babies for a couple hours so Ed and I can go out on dates.  We went up to Philly one Saturday morning for coffee and brunch.

Katelyn's 5 month photo shoot.

 Who me?

This is how Joey and Katelyn hang out.

She rolled off her blanket and fell asleep like this for 2 hours.  She woke up with carpet face.

Here are some videos from June:

We took Joey to the park, he climbed the toddler rock wall by himself.

He loves the slides!

Katelyn likes to try to feed herself.
