Happy New Year!!
Ed and I got a babysitter for the night and we got out of the house for a date night....Thanks Aunt Kathleen!! It was our first time away from the baby together for more than an hour. It was nice to get away, but we were SO excited to get home to see the little guy. While Joey was hanging out with his Great Aunt, she taught him a couple new tricks, to click his tongue, and to say "okay". I'm sure it was a babble that came out sounding like "okay" but then I heard it myself when I was changing his diaper!! My son the prodigy. HAHA! Okay, so it was still probably him babbling.
Joey turned 2 months old on January 2nd, he now weighs a whopping 13.3 lbs and is measuring 24"!! He has been exploring the world around him and loves to tell stories, especially to his animal friends on his wall by his changing table. He has discovered his hands and his finger nails and likes to play Edward Scissor Hands with his face. I try to file his nails but they are growing too fast! Along with his hands he found his fist. He doesn't suck his thumb - he likes to suck on his whole fist. He has discovered his leg strength and likes to stand on his dad and walk up him, and kick in his bouncy seat to make the music play. He loves looking at lights, especially the box on the wall that flashes lots of light (the TV). Joey has a new best friend too, his little lion blanket we call Nala.
