We started the month off with a Fleming Family Reunion at our house. It was so fun to see everyone again and see how much all the kids have grown. We had about 30 people at our house. Lots of good food, the kids played in the back, and it was fun catching up with the adults.
Joey and I have also made some new friends through our Gymboree class and have gotten together with one of the mommy's and her daughter Emlyn a few times now. I love watching Joey play with other kids, they are so curious about one another.
We started redoing our bathroom in our bedroom in July and we are almost finished with that project. All that is left is the tile work, put the vanity and toilet in, and the rest of the finishing touches. It will be nice once that is finished and we can have our bedroom back.
In 2 weeks my Dad comes out to help us start on the next big project, the kitchen. We are hoping to have the kitchen completed by October. We are knocking out a wall to combine the family room with the kitchen, and adding an island, desk, and pantry for more counter space and storage space. It will be nice once it is complete.
I am 16 weeks along in my pregnancy and so far I'm feeling pretty fantastic. I look forward to my monthly doctor visits so I can hear the baby's heartbeat so I can make sure Pat is still alive and well.
Here are some pictures from the month so far.
Ready for story time with Emlyn.
Nap time with Lala at the family reunion.
Ryan, Riley, and Rosie playing.
Little Rosie!
Joey eating teething a biscuit. I only got these because the nurse at the doctor's office said they were fantastic and Joey should try them. She forgot to mention how messy they were. They are great for entertaining Joey so I can get stuff done in the kitchen, but next time I will strip him down to a diaper before giving him these again.
Play date at the Museum of Natural History in Wilmington. We had a picnic afterwards. Evan decided he wanted to climb over Emlyn. They were trying to get the Cheerio's and puffs.
My big helper was at in again. This time he felt his books needed to be organized.
My tired baby at lunch time. I kept trying to get a picture of him sleeping but every time he heard the camera click he would wake up and smile.
He finally passed out.
Joey watching the storm the other morning. He was fascinated with the trees blowing in the wind.
He got tired of storm watching and decided he needed to climb the stairs.
Sunday morning waffles!!
Joey at Gym class this morning.
Climbing up the slide.
He reached the top.
Music time!
Bubbles. All the kids in call fall into a trance when the bubbles come out. Its so funny!
More bubbles.
The kids are obsessed with Gymbo the clown. When the instructor brings him out the kids want to chase him down and play with him.
Joey has found some new tricks up his sleeve over the past few days. He can now climb up onto the coffee table and then he uses that to climb up on the fireplace. We had the table there to keep him from eating the corner of the fireplace pad and to help keep the pad on because he liked to pull it down.
I ran to the bathroom and came out to find him like this.
And, of course he was very proud of himself!
Joey got his first car; I couldn't pick just one picture to post, I had to post all of them because he was just too dang cute. He loves it!! He likes to take it out for drives in our neighborhood.
Joey cheesin'. He just loves his picture taken.
Today we went to the pool with Aunt Renay, and cousins Ryan and Riley.
Took a break from swimming to have some lunch.
My dad came out for a week to help us get started on re-doing our kitchen. We are waiting for my dad to get off the plane.
Pre-dinner snack.
Breakfast with Grandpa.
Joey and I had to get out of the house most days while the house is under construction. We went to Aunt Renay's house to play with the cousins and eat blocks.
Today was hot and humid and Joey and I wanted to get into some air conditioning so we went to the mall. I love trying hats on Joey.
Playing with Grandpa before he has to start work.
I had my 2nd ultrasound while my dad was here of baby #2.
More playing.
Joey loves to watch all the work getting done. We call him the little supervisor.
Today we went to the Zoo where we saw Aunt Renay and cousins Ryan and Riley.
He was a little hesitant at first......
But, then he got into it.
