November 2012

November has been a crazy month already and we aren't even through the whole month.  I thought I would post what we have been up to so far.

We started out the month with Joey's 1st Birthday and 1st haircut.  Joey did so well getting his haircut!  He only got a little fussy when the stylist sprayed the water on his head.  When she was finished Joey actually gave her a high five, a hug and when she said the magic words, "good job!" he clapped.  It was so cute!!

Here are pictures of Joey on his actual birthday.  He helped me bake cookies for his party.

Here are pictures from his Birthday Party.  Even though mommy and daddy were a little stressed with the preparations, Joey had a great time with everyone!!

Here is Joey helping daddy with some of the trim work around the house.

After Joey's big party I had to take him in for his 1 year check up.  He had to get 3 shots.  He does so awesome with his shots, but to wipe his nose....that's another story.  At 1 years old he is 31.25" and weighs 22.15 lbs.  He's in the 95% for height and he dropped to the 55% in weight.

This is what Joey did as soon as we got home from having shots.

Ed had Veterans Day off so we decided to have a family day at Longwood Gardens.  It was nice to go out and do something fun with the whole family!

Late in November Joey and I took a trip to Annapolis for the weekend to go see cousins Keith and Erin.  Joey had a blast playing with Keith and their dogs Remy and Derby.  It was a great weekend away.  Keith and Erin live right on the Chesapeake in their own little oasis.

Here is Joey on Thanksgiving!  We spent the day with Ed's family.  Everyone came over to our house where we had a very yummy Italian lunch followed by the traditional Thanksgiving dinner which Ed cooked up for everyone.

We ended the month with a bang!  All 3 of us got sick.  Ed got a terrible cold and then Joey and I wound up with a GI bug.  We both ended up in the ER for fluids.  Baby girl wasn't moving around like normal so I wanted to make sure she was okay, then a day later Joey wasn't keeping anything down.  We took him to Children's and he was sent home with an anti nausea pill.  We thought he was on the mend but wasn't so back to Children's where they admitted him overnight.  He was a trooper!  He didn't cry once when they poked him a few times to get the IV line in.  It was a very long night for both of us but so glad we got everyone on the mend.
